Also spelled Mei Xuezhen. Xie Qingya's close friend, two years older than him. They grew up together in Jiangnan where Xie Qingya stayed with his aunt. Mei Xuezheng knows Xie Qingya's sly nature but they get along well due to their shared mischievous streak. He agrees to help Xie Qingya's scheme involving Quan Fangtong and Cao Da.
