The fourth son of the Mai family, whose name means North. Also known as Mai Lao Si. He is the most promising of the four brothers. He works as a worker in a machinery factory in the county town and has married a woman from the city. He only goes back to Lotus Village during festivals. Mai Laosan envied him the most and once asked him to find a city-based husband for Mai Sui to gain prestige.
