The county magistrate of Pingyang County, a corrupt and arrogant official who holds significant power in the remote area. He initially harasses Old Tan at the market but later buys all their eggs for five taels of silver to impress two officials from the capital. He is easily manipulated and loses his temper when his eggs are destroyed.
