An elderly woman, Ma Liang's grandmother, with nearly toothless lips. She is conscientious to a fault and constantly tries to repay kindness, once sending dried vegetables and mushrooms after Ma Liang overcharged Gu Zuozuo by a single coin. She gave Gu Zuozuo two plump pears sent by her son's comrade and invited her to lunch.
