The eldest son of the Linzhou Prefect and Yan Lan's husband. He promised to treat Yan Lan well on their wedding day but betrayed her by offering her to bandits in exchange for his own safe passage. He fled with his mother and sister while Yan Lan fought the bandits. He was staying at the Minister of War's residence, having originally sought Wu Yuchu's patronage but now trying to build connections after Wu's death.
