Su Yuanyuan's husband, a soldier who joined the army five years ago. He was injured during a mission and diagnosed with difficulty having children. He sends his salary home regularly—initially one hundred and twenty yuan, later eighty yuan per month. He believes he and Su Yuanyuan cannot have children and works tirelessly to ensure she won't suffer. He is currently on a long-term mission and has not returned home.
