Also known as Old Madam Lu, the domineering grandmother who controls the Lu family finances. She heavily favors the second son Lu Zhiwei and his family, while neglecting the eldest branch. She scolds Xu Nian'an for killing a chicken and accuses her of greed. She believes Xu Nian'an's dowry of 500 yuan is insufficient and that her son Lu Chengyu sent too little money home. She is manipulative, using guilt and anger to maintain control, and often slaps Lu Xiuxiu for laziness.
