Also called Aunt Lu, she is the biological sister of Lu Shangshu and Shen Qingtang's aunt. Her maiden name was Xiulan. She stayed away from the capital for three years after her husband's death due to poor health and painful memories. She fell ill during the long journey from Yaozhou to the capital, exhausting her lung qi and causing her old illness to flare up. She was close friends with Shen Qingtang's mother and often visited the Wen residence in her youth.
