Female protagonist, a young working woman who came to Hangzhou to study as a child. She has been staying at her aunt's house doing chores while her cousin Liu Ye and his girlfriend Zheng Yan live there. She is described as someone who usually avoids conflict and endures mistreatment to not cause trouble for her aunt. She works at a company alongside her friend Lin Lin. She has a small puppy named Tuanzi (also called Dumpling). She is physically capable and stood up to Zheng Yan when she endangered the puppy. She has scratches on her forearm and the back of her hand from the fight with Zheng Yan.
