Also known as Old Madam Lu, an elderly woman in her fifties, short with sharp features. She is the village women's director who returned to the village after her revolutionary work. She was a close friend and spiritual support of Bai Shuo, meeting her in Shanghai. Bai Shuo sent her last intelligence before giving birth and mentioned Su Yueheng's name, hoping they would become godfamily. Lu Mingjue has no children of her own and is actually the future mother-in-law of Su Yueheng, though Su Yueheng does not yet know this. She is the grandmother of Lu Sangning and Lu Shengli, and the aunt of Lu Xingzhou.
