A child in the compound who is one of Dongdong's playmates. His father is a matrilocal son-in-law who married into the family, so he takes his mother's surname. He is about the same age as Dongdong but lighter in weight, making it difficult for him to play on the seesaw with Dongdong. He has a brother but no sister, and he envied Dongdong for having both.
