Lu Hanchuan's grandfather, also called Lu Lao Ye. He is a retired military man and the head of the Lu family. He has five sons, four of whom died on the battlefield. He is described as the family head whom everyone fears, but he is somewhat henpecked by his wife Cheng Yan. He likes to nag about Lu Hanchuan getting married and wants to see a great-grandchild. He initially disapproved of Ye Xiaoxiao being with Lu Hanchuan but eventually accepted it.
