A scholar from the Lu family in Hangzhou, representing the aristocratic scholar class. He proposed a labor tax at the teahouse debate that would allow males over fifteen to pay population tax through physical labor. He suffered from true heart pain, collapsed after leaving the teahouse, and was brought to Wen'an Hall where he was declared dead by the resident physician before Tang Chaoyang revived him with CPR and acupuncture.
