A scholarly-looking man with fair skin who wears glasses and is highly myopic. He is Tian Miaomiao's cousin. A month before the story, he fell into a pond and was saved by Shen Mengyao using a stick. He was on the same train and was tasked by Tian Miaomiao to look after Shen Mengyao. He has a brother named Shen Zhi who is also a soldier. He carries a rooster in a net bag. He is energetic and admires Shen Mengyao's fierceness.
