Emperor Wu of Han, the current emperor in the fourth year of the Jianyuan era. He is the fourth-generation descendant of Emperor Gao (Liu Bang). Deeply superstitious and believing in divine matters. He was performing the winter solstice ancestral rites at the Great Ancestral Temple when the summoning occurred. A censer struck his forehead during the ritual, causing him to bleed. He quickly seized the opportunity when Liu Bang appeared, kneeling and declaring it a great omen to protect his throne. He maintained composure and authority throughout the event, speaking on behalf of the goddess and Emperor Gao to the assembled court and royal family.
