Linsheng is the deceased elder son and brother of Li Shu, Li A, and Li Chiguang. He died and his body was placed in a coffin for a simple funeral with no mourners. Li Shu considers his danger level higher than her father's and believes the longer he lived, the more risk he posed to her. Zhou Shi insists he was wronged and that Li A's accusations against him are unfilial. He is implied to have joined bandits, which brought trouble to the family.
