Lin Yun's younger brother, a boy who is not good at studying and finds school difficult. He helps Lin Yun catch centipedes and snakes at night to sell for money. He is genuinely concerned for his sister's well-being and supports her continuing education, saying he cannot focus in class anyway. He is afraid of their mother and avoids getting into trouble. He hangs out with village boys, some of whom engage in black-market activities like stealing fish.
