The eldest brother of the Lin family, described as frugal but proud. He was forced by Zhu Lao San to participate in the scheme under threat of having his hand chopped off. He admitted truthfully during interrogation that the IOU was forged by cutting and tracing characters from books Lin Xuan had copied. He died during the interrogation, either from fear or the injuries inflicted.
