Lin Wang is the wife of Lin Dayou and mother of the children. She returns home with her daughter Lin Luoning after hearing of the family's misfortunes. Upon seeing the gathered villagers and her husband's tearful state, she faints from shock. Revived by Auntie Xie, she is devastated to learn of her son's condition and her husband's decision to sever ties with the Old Lin Family. Her frailty and suffering highlight the toll the family's hardships have taken on her.
