Lin Fengxia's father who supports the forced marriage and is complicit in selling his daughter for bride price. He is described as smoking a pipe and being lazy. He threatens to beat Lin Fengxia to death when she rebels but is ultimately frightened by her suicidal defiance with iron scissors. He forces her to search her room and then tries to renege on the promise to kowtow to her mother's memorial tablet when nothing is found. He is portrayed as weak-willed and easily manipulated by Zhang Landi.
