Eldest son of Lin Qigen and Lin Wan's cousin. He appears honest and steady, attending brigade meetings, but is revealed to have done vile things like locking Father Lin's door at night, stealing his chicken, and smearing filth on his door. He threatens to fight to the death with an iron hoe at the end.
