Lin Baiyu's older brother. He and Lin Baiyu both loved reading and had actual knowledge far exceeding their high school education level. He would occasionally take Lin Baiyu to the scrap market to purchase old literary works with damaged or stained pages. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the military and regularly sent military allowances home, significantly improving the family's financial situation. He collaborated with Grandpa Lin to hide their valuable book collection in an underground storage compartment beneath Lin Baiyu's room before the political movement swept through the village.
