Father of Zhong Yuanming and titleholder of the Marquis estate. He is the husband of the Marquise of Liaoshan who committed the murder. He frantically tries to stop the digging and initially claims his daughter-in-law was killed by mountain bandits. He takes the blame to protect his wife but is still arrested and exiled along with his son.
