Female, also called Old Madam Liang, Qianhua's grandmother. She is greedy and manipulative. She conspired with Zhu-shi to pressure Qianhua into giving up the sugar-roasted chestnut recipe. She falsely claimed her husband was ill to guilt-trip them and threatened to report Qianhua's family for unfilial conduct.
