Also known as Liang the Second, he is Qianhua's father and the second son of Old Man Liang. He used to earn money through hunting but has been injured and now walks with a cane. He is unable to work and his leg recovery is uncertain—he may be crippled for life. He is a fair and principled man who initially restrained himself when seeing his elder brother punish Cuihua. When Qianhua was pushed into the river and his mother refused to spend money to save her, his heart turned cold. He knelt before his parents requesting to split the family to protect his daughter, but ultimately asked only for Cuihua to be punished rather than actually splitting.
