Liang Jincheng is a rebellious teenager, approximately seventeen or eighteen years old, who is the grandson of an old man. He is spoiled, impulsive, and holds strong opinions about soldiers, initially viewing them with disdain and accusing Xu Zhouzhou of marrying for status. He is confrontational and arrogant but lacks the substance to back his words, becoming speechless when challenged. After being lectured by Xu Zhouzhou and provoked by Gu Beizheng, he stubbornly agrees to join the military recruitment, despite having no genuine interest in being a soldier. He represents a youthful, misguided perspective that is corrected through authority and experience.
