Qianhua's father, also called Liang Lao'er and Liang Second Uncle. He has injured legs and cannot hunt or farm. He wanted to help build their new thatched house but could only weave thatch while sitting on a stool, pulled there by Wen Yong on a handcart. He was initially reluctant to accept his mother's unfair treatment regarding the chickens but gave in because Wenzhi was the only scholar in the family. After the house was completed, he told the villagers they would host a banquet once they earned money, though the villagers did not take it seriously.
