Female supporting character, Su Yin's mother. She appeared to be in her forties or fifties, wearing a faded dark blue cotton-padded jacket with two patches on the sleeves. She remarried after Su Yin's father Su Jianqiang went missing in battle. She had a son Er Zhu with her new husband Bi Huagang. She visited Su Yin after more than ten years apart, bringing gifts of dried radish, an old hen, white radishes, and wild greens.
