A member of the powerful military Li family, described as the courtyard's crown prince, heaven's favored son, and soldier king. The Li family was sent down to the countryside but would be reinstated by the end of 1976. Only the grandfather and grandson (Li Zhanye) survived the exile in the original story. He later becomes a big shot in the military and is Sheng Jinhe's benefactor and love interest.
