Li Maochang is the protagonist of the comic story Chutao Yuan Village submitted by Su Ting. He is a reporter for a geography magazine who, during a business trip to a remote area, gets lost and wanders into a deep mountain rumored to be inhabited by wild men. After three days and nights of exhausting travel with no food or water, he finds himself on the brink of death. There, he sees a young woman who speaks to him before he faints. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a strange bedroom and soon encounters the young woman again, who is dressed in an old-style double-breasted coat. He learns that she has never left her village in her twenty years of life. When he meets her father, the first question the man asks is about the outside world and whether there is still war.
