Mother of Yan Yunxuan and a consort in the palace. She is scheming and manipulative, having prepared ginseng soup for the Jingyuan Emperor to influence him. She tried to persuade the emperor to let Yan Yunxuan off but was rebuffed. She later told her son that Shen Jiaojiao is just a peasant girl and should be taken as a concubine rather than a principal consort.
