Prince Wei, a twenty-year-old prince exiled to Liangzhou by his father the Emperor who despises him. Known for debauchery and scandal, he flaunts indulgence before imperial couriers. He has a favored concubine Sui Sui with whom he shares a transactional relationship. Handsome with a high-bridged nose and dark bright eyes. His moods shift rapidly—contrary and unpredictable. He is summoned back to Chang'an by imperial decree to marry a bride from the Yang clan of Hongnong. He carries a polo stick and rides a horse. At one point he drunkenly drags Sui Sui into the main hall.
