He accepted a jade ring as a bribe from Ye Da Cheng and tried to mediate the family dispute. He preferred keeping things straightforward and planned to release Zou Shi later after persuading the parties to leave. He witnessed the entire confrontation between Ye Da Cheng and Ye Xin Ran.
