Male minor character, Tang Wan and Tang Mu's deceased grandfather. A former military clerk in Huai Rong County who transcribed letters for military households. He raised his grandchildren after his son died on the battlefield and his daughter-in-law remarried. He frequently helped Chen Wenyan and his mother, arranging the engagement between them and Tang Wan.
