Lan Shuang's eighteen-year-old twin brother (dragon-and-phoenix twins). He opposed the new emperor's order and was beaten with boards after kneeling for several hours outside the palace gates. He was engaged to Zhou Ruyan but was jilted when the Lan family lost status. He was to be exiled north with the other male family members. He deeply cared for his sister Lan Shuang.
