The antagonist, a thug and drunkard who attacked Zhong Yizhu in his home during a storm. He had previously bumped into Mingtao at Chuiliu Town market. He followed Zhong Yizhu back to the village and attempted to assault him, intending to ruin his reputation and force him into marriage. He was knocked unconscious by Sun Yun-niang with a clay pot and later dragged into the forest by Zhong Yizhu and his mother.
