Kong Nianqing is the husband of Jiang Jianchun. He lives in a three-room tile-roofed house with a courtyard. His mother helps care for their children. He receives an anonymous note via slingshot accusing his wife of long-term affair with Director Liao Chunxing and questioning paternity of her unborn child. He rushes to Liao's company housing complex, hears suspicious sounds, and kicks open the kitchen door. He catches Jiang Jianchun and Liao Chunxing red-handed, attacks Liao with a spatula, and loudly announces the adultery to neighbors. He is a wronged husband seeking justice.
