A monk and chief disciple of Huiyuan from Mu'an Temple. He was corrupt and greedy, having accepted a silver ingot from Shan Er to falsely accuse Lin Tangtang of carrying evil energy. He claimed the box contained evil energy and that Lin Tangtang was ominous. When Master Huiyuan appeared and exposed him, Kong Le fell to his knees and retracted all his accusations. He returned the silver ingot to Shan Er, admitting his greed had grown heavier after three years apart from his master.
