Also referred to as King Dao of Chu, the deceased king whose funeral was being mourned in Chuyang City. During his reign, he appointed Wu Qi to reform, which made Chu a powerful state. Wu Qi pacified Baiyue in the south, annexed Chen and Cai in the north, resisted the Three Jins, and launched western campaigns against Qin. He died and his funeral became the site where nobles including Yang Chengjun shot Wu Qi.
