Father of Kang Yu and Kang Shun. He lost his first wife early and remarried, but quickly divorced again. He genuinely loved Shen Roushu's mother and was devastated to learn that his son Kang Shun had made inappropriate advances toward her. He slapped both Kang Shun and himself in anger and grief.
