Male antagonist, Su Niannian's former partner. He is a scientist who studied abroad. He has delicate, ethereal looks with black-framed glasses. He is emotionally abusive — he would drag Su Niannian from bed to perform barefoot dances for him and threatened to break her other leg. He is arranged to marry Chen Niannian as a substitute. He is perceptive and sees through the charade when Chen Niannian is brought to him. He has a gentle appearance but a cold, mocking demeanor.
