Male lead. Peak Lord of Bright Moon Peak and the strongest cultivator under a thousand years old in the Tai Xu Yun Sect. He is Xinyao's Dao companion and husband, though their wedding was kept extremely simple with no ceremony. He claimed to have begged to marry her after she saved his life from a demonic beast a hundred years ago. He forcibly extracted Xinyao's spiritual root to transplant it into Zhou Linlang, believing Xinyao's root could regenerate. He is described as cold and godlike, and he never looked back when leaving Xinyao to die. He is also referred to as Qin Chiyue in some parts of the text and is addressed as Immortal Lord Mingjing in the divorce letter. He has an eldest disciple named Zhuang Gui.
