The concubine sister (Second Young Lady) and primary antagonist. She is not biologically related to the Marquis Mansion; she is the daughter of Concubine Liu and an unnamed man within the mansion. She was raised by the Marquis Mansion but harbored deep resentment, motivated by greed for the family's property. She had a secret affair with Pei Anqing long before the story begins, using her role as Jiang Wanning's helpful sister as cover to pass secret letters and meet him. She pretended to be virtuous and self-sacrificing, intentionally falling into a lake while picking a lotus for Jiang Wanning to create a scandal that would force Jiang Wanning to offer her as an Equal Wife. In her previous life, she systematically murdered Jiang Wanning's entire family: she poisoned Jiang Wanning's mother over time through snacks, had her father handed over to a mysterious person, and had her grandfather nailed alive into his coffin. She tortured Jiang Wanning in a dungeon with a branding iron and ultimately stabbed her to death with a long sword, slashing an X across her face.
