The then-deputy general who led the army to defeat the northern Rong after Gu Cong'an's death. He was appointed Marquis Xuanwu and put in charge of the Shen Ce army. He was ambitious and led the palace coup, slaughtering everyone including Emperor Ning Shixu. He later declared himself king and renamed the country Dayong. He was eventually poisoned and killed by Pei Ji.
