Male, Jian Hongyou's father and head of the Jian family. He had strict rules, not allowing Jian Hongyou to live with a man before marriage or engage in premarital sex. A week before the story begins, the Jian family went bankrupt with huge debts. He called Jian Hongyou shortly before his death, telling her to take care of herself and apologizing. He then jumped from the top floor of the company building and died on the spot.
