Old Master Ruan's adopted son, taken in at age twelve. Rumored to be the child of an old friend or possibly Old Master Ruan's illegitimate son. He moved out after coming of age to avoid suspicion. He has a strange familiarity with Cheng Yuelin despite their generational difference. He attended the wedding but left immediately after the ceremony. He greeted Ruan Zhiyin and Cheng Yuelin at the ancestral house.
