One of the four male leads in the novel. He is the youngest son of the influential Ji family and the most doted-on in his household. Like Zhaoxue, he has been frail since birth and is a constant user of medicine. Despite his frailty, he shows incredible talent in cultivation. He was born in early spring during a snowfall, and his mother named him Shou meaning longevity, hoping he would live a blessed long and healthy life. He has delicate features, fair skin, beautiful cat-like eyes, long dark hair with slightly curled ends braided and tucked behind his ear, and wears a silver longevity lock around his neck with violet-red robe hem. As a child he was withdrawn and disliked socializing, often sneaking over the wall into the Shen residence to sit with Zhaoxue. He and Zhaoxue shared hardships for many years and built a deep bond. His mother does not like him coming to play with Zhaoxue. In the novel's future, he will become cold and ruthless.
