An eunuch in the imperial palace who is the person the emperor relies on most closely. Even concubines in the inner palace show him some respect. He has a shrill voice and looks down on Jiang Huaiyue as an unwanted mistress who is putting on airs after marrying the Regency Prince. He was sent by the emperor to fetch Jiang Huaiyue to the palace, preparing a sedan chair for her.
