An imperial physician who had been recommended into the Imperial Medical Bureau by the Tongjia clan. He examined Cao Yue the previous year when she was unwell but only diagnosed her body as weak, failing to detect the sinister medicine. He is suspected of intentionally concealing the truth and was ordered to be tied up and sent to the Punishment Office, but he committed suicide out of guilt before he could be apprehended.
