Male supporting character, a hunter from Yezhuquan Brigade whose village is on the other side of the mountain. He was hunting a tiger alone with a hunting rifle when Wen Nuan distracted the beast, allowing him to shoot and injure it. He thanked Wen Nuan by giving her two plump rabbits and offered her a fawn as well, which she declined. He invited her to visit his brigade and asked to be called Hunter Cui or Comrade Cui.
